The 2010 Golden Helix Symposium "Genetic Analysis in Translational Medicine" has been placed under the auspices of His Excellency the President of the Hellenic Republic Dr. Karolos Papoulias.
• October 20th, 2010:
The deadline for early-bird registration for the upcoming 2010 Golden Helix Symposium "Genetic analysis in Translational Medicine" has been extended to November 15th, 2010.
• September 18th, 2010:
The Golden Helix Institute of Biomedical Research is named Regional Center of the Pharmacogenomics for Every Nation Initiative for Eastern Europe. The Golden Helix Institute of Biomedical Research will coordinate the sample collecton to determine the allele frequencies of pharmacogenomic markers in Eastern European countries.
• September 10th, 2010:
The Golden Helix Symposia proudly announce that will sponsor the forthcoming international Symposium "Mutation Detection 2011: 11th Internatonal Symposium on Mutations in the Genome", organized by the Human Genome Variation Society (HGVS) in Santorini, Greece, June 2011.
• August 15th, 2010:
The FINDbase-PGx, a database to document pharmacogenomics markers in various populations globally was launched today at the Golden Helix Server. This project was co-funded by the Golden Helix and was realized in conjunction with the University of Patras, Greece.
• August 1st, 2010:
The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Golden Helix Institute of BIomedical Research (www.goldenhelix.org) and the Pharmacogenomics for Every Nation Initiative (PGENI; www.pgeni.org) was signed today.
• July 20th, 2010:
The Golden Helix Institute of BIomedical Research (www.goldenhelix.org) and the Pharmacogenomics for Every Nation Initiative (PGENI; www.pgeni.org) went into an agreement to closely collaborate to determine the incidence of pharmacogenomic markers in several European populations from developing countries.

• May 12th-14th, 2010:
The 1st Latin American Pharmacogenomics conference is held in San Juan, Puerto Rico. Golden Helix Symposia co-organized this event in conjunction with FDA and INDUNIV.
• February 8th, 2010:
The meeting report of the 2009 GOLDEN HELIX Symposium "Pharmacogenomics: Paving the path to personalized medicine" was published in the prestigious journal Pharmacogenomics in the February 2010 issue.

• January 10th, 2010:
The 2010 Golden Helix Symposium "Genetic Analysis in Translational Medicine" is announced. It will be held in the DIVANI Acropolis Palace hotel, Athens, Greece, Athens, 1st-4th, 2010.
• December 18th, 2009:
The website of the GOLDEN HELIX® Symposia undergoes a major refurbishment and is available from early January 2010.
• November 10th, 2009:
The GOLDEN HELIX® Symposia proudly announces the co-organization of the 1st Latin American Pharmacogenomics Conference in concert with the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and the non-profit entity INDUNIV. The conference will take place in San Juan, Puerto Rico in May 12-14th, 2010.
• October 18th, 2009:
The International Scientific Advisory Council of the GOLDEN HELIX® Symposia decided that the 2010 GOLDEN HELIX® Symposium will be held in Athens and will focus on the topic of Genetic Analysis in Translational medicine.

• December 5th, 2008:
The 1st GOLDEN HELIX Symposium on “Copy Number Variation and genomic alterations in health and disease” was successfully held in Athens, Greece (November 28th-29th, 2008), where some 160 participants from 31 countries were updated on recent developments in the field of molecular cytogenetics, copy number variation, and the direction in which the technology of array-based Comparative Genomic Hybridization (array-CGH) is evolving. The meeting was supported by 10 corporate entities, 5 of which presented their technologies for array-CGH and/or software tools for downstream analysis, as company lectures embedded in the scientific program.
